Can I walk into the clinic or do I always need to schedule an appointment?

We are always willing to accept walk-in patients as it is our utmost responsibility to treat all – However, we do advise you to schedule an appointment before visiting us. so that you do not have to wait longer. In case of any emergencies our staff and physicians will attend to you immediately.

What do I need to bring to my appointment?

You are required to bring your insurance card and proof of ID.

How do I get a refill on my prescription?

Getting eligible for a refill after every 30 days, you can request a refill on your prescriptions by scheduling an appointment.

How do I book an appointment?

We use state-of-the-art technologies to facilitate our patients. Instead of coming to the hospital for an appointment, you can opt to schedule an online appointment through Zebra Doctor, and you can download the app too. You can also call us at 646-454-9000 to book an appointment.

What does the term PCP mean?

PCP stands for Primary Care Physicians who looks after your health and wellness, along with guiding you towards a healthy lifestyle. They are your family doctors with whom you have your regular checkups. Your primary care physicians will review your lab test reports, check your medications, and treat your issues like flu, high fever, stomach ache, and more. And if they detect any health issues in the reports they will refer you to a specific doctor according to your condition.

What conditions do primary care doctors treat?

A primary care doctor will provide you with all the standard care a general physician and practitioners does, as they emphasize the medical conditions that are common in adulthood.

At Manhattan Medical Arts, the services provided by our primary care physicians include diabetes management, hypertension treatment, STD treatment, weight management, infections, allergies, immunization, and more.

How do I access my lab results?

Manhattan Medical Arts focuses on its patient’s ease and comfort and is in charge of their privacy and security. For that purpose, once you are a patient of Manhattan Medical Arts, we provide you with a patient portal from which you can access your results and also check your medical records.

Why do I need to fast before some lab tests?

Your PCP sometimes asks you to fast before any blood test. This has a medical reason as some blood tests are accurate only during the time when you are fasting. You are suggested to fast for a minimum of 12 hours but you can take your medications in between the fasting and make sure to drink plenty of water as it keeps you hydrated.

What are your clinic hours?

We’re open 7 days a week. Monday through Friday 8 am-8 pm – Saturday and Sunday 9 am-5 pm.

I don’t have health insurance. Can I still be seen?

Yes, but you must have proof of ID. If you do not have insurance, you can be seen as a self-pay patient. The charges depend on the type of visit you are seeking for the day.

How long are the doctor visits?

Our PCPs are at your service 24/7 but when it is the time of your appointment, the duration of the visit totally depends on your health condition, and as long as you want us to hear you, as we guarantee that all your concerns will be heard and catered to – regardless of the duration, be it your first visit or a routine check-up.

Is there a no-show charge?

We humbly request you to inform us about canceling an appointment within 24-48 hours in case of not showing up, as we schedule our days and timings accordingly. But if you fail to inform us in advance then you will be charged a no-show fee of $70.

What can I expect as a new patient?

At Manhattan Medical Arts, we try to maintain all records for our patients. That is why before any appointment with our physicians, we ask you to complete the new patient paperwork in which we ask for every detail about your health conditions and ongoing treatments. Furthermore, the paperwork also includes the insurance and government-issued ID.

What is the difference between family medicine and internal medicine?

2. Pediatricians
3. Family medicine
– Internal medicines are those that treat 18 and above with all their critical matters.
– Pediatricians take care of infants as well as adolescence.
– Family medicine doctors are like your family doctors who look after both children and adults in the family and treat every issue if they can, or they would refer you to a specialist.

What should be the reason that I see my primary care doctor?

We respect your choice to see your primary care physicians but as guardians of your health, we suggest you take an annual physical examination for the sake of your health. This will help you recognize your body’s situation and if any serious disease is detected you will get a chance to treat yourself at an early stage. Our physician and doctors are your healthcare team who are always up to treat and cure your health conditions.
